This Privacy Policy explains how Glean handles information when you use the Glean app. Glean is a photo and video organizing app for iPhone. It is built to help you review your own library, add items to Favorites, temporarily remove items from your current organizing flow, and delete items you choose.

The short version is simple: Glean is designed to work locally on your device. We do not run an advertising network, we do not sell personal data, we do not upload your photos or videos to a Glean server, and we do not use third-party analytics or tracking SDKs in the current version of the app.

1. Who provides Glean

Glean is developed and maintained by an independent developer. In this policy, "Glean", "the app", "we", "us", and "our" refer to the Glean app and its independent developer.

This policy covers information handled by the Glean app itself. It does not replace Apple's privacy notices, the App Store terms, iCloud terms, Apple Maps terms, your email provider's terms, Notion's terms for this policy webpage, or any other third-party service that you choose to use outside the app.

2. What Glean is designed to do

Glean helps you organize your existing photo and video library. Depending on your choices inside the app, Glean may:

• Show photos, videos, Live Photos, and related previews from your Apple Photos library.
• Group photos and videos into small organizing sessions.
• Mark selected photos or videos as Favorites through Apple's Photos system.
• Temporarily remove selected items from the current organizing flow inside Glean.
• Ask Apple's Photos system to delete selected items when you choose to delete them.
• Display basic file and media information such as type, dimensions, estimated file size, creation date, and metadata that already exists in the photo or video.
• Display a map or place name if an item already contains location metadata.
• Show estimated storage information to help you understand how much space your library may be using.

Glean does not create a Glean account, does not require a login, and does not ask you to upload your library to us.
